You are the best lol
Don't worry about Windows command line, which I focused on in studying, but understand Windows booting and profiles. Focus on security and troubleshooting for sure. If you understand how to boot into Windows and live USBs in different ways, partitions, the major tools of the OS, the security section, and troubleshooting - you will likely pass. Linux was not a big focus, but it was on there. The differences between Windows versions is not important, I spent some time on that.
In my opinion, this test is much easier than the 1001 generally. Additionally, it's easier if you have ever had to troubleshoot or work with your own computer (if you are studying for IT, you probably have). A lot of it will be familiar to anyone that has had issues with Windows before, honestly.
I scored higher on this test than the ITF+. I would say a smooth 50% or more overlaps with the 1001 material, but it is less in-depth and focuses on the software/OS side.
For you to remember that much stuff from 20 years ago and pass is really remarkable. It took me a few months at least to study for the 1001.
Thank you! :D
The PBQs were much harder than expected. The rest of it was probably easier than the professor Messer practice exams but harder than Dion.
Thank you!
You will!
If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been getting certs for? What effect do you feel having mass certs had on your career?
Wow, our reviews are exactly the same haha.
Yeah, this was the first time on a CompTIA exam I didn't clear it with over 30-60 minutes left to calmly review. By the time I cycled back to even start the PBQs I only had 45 minutes or so.
It was very very wordy. I felt like the Cloud+ materials don't even get into the fundamental cloud concepts like CE+ does! For someone who actually wants to learn Cloud I would have to recommend CE+.
Anyways, we did it!
Thank you!
Seconded, I just passed it yesterday, thank God. Was sure I failed my first CompTIA exam. I highly recommend taking the Cloud Essentials+ first.
I personally stopped searching for an IT job (over 250 or so applications in a highly competitive area) and moved to another related industry. I would get a lot more response to my resume when I applied for software engineering or business positions despite the fact that it is tailored to it.

Thank you for your advice. I have a really great website, so maybe simplifying my resume is the best next step.
Thank you for this input.
Thank you for this input.
Thank you for your advice, I will work on it this weekend and PM you for sure.
Should I make a new post or just update this one?
DMV/NOVA IT job market seems to be broken totally.
I cannot make it to an interview no matter how much applying, resume re-working, or knowledge I gain.
I have 10 certs and am completing my bachelor's degree in IT, some prior IT-related positions. Re-did my resume many times. AWS SAA, Linux+, Cloud+, Security+, etc. Applied to hundreds of positions - from help desk, to sysadmin, to cloud, to all kinds of things.
Have a great LinkedIn page and an online portfolio. Getting contacted by recruiters on a nearly daily basis, but getting ghosted constantly.
DMV area.

Thank you
It wasn't doing this when I unboxed it, it just started when I let the phone alone for a few hours? If this is normal I'm not sure how anyone uses the phone or why it isn't portrayed as such on the website. This kind of flickering is making it very hard to use.

Thanks, this is really unfortunate.
I'm not sure if you can help at all with this, but my package is stuck at a regional distribution center, it came from the UK.
International mail.
May 18, 2021, (Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility, MERRIFIELD VA)
It is headed to 221.
Thank you so much, will get on it right away.
Not particularly, no. It's just some clothing items.
I did the help request and missing mail search.
Waiting on one since April from the UK and another since May from China.
It actually has a customs return address and slip.
I got a call today from my local post office that they had another package which had been lost since April. I went down there without thinking and picked it up, happy that it had finally gotten to me. The package had been in the distribution center for a while but it never updated on the tracking. Supposedly international packages do not have updated tracking for "security" purposes.
I check this package online and see that 30 minutes before I picked up the other package, this one was returned to sender. Come to find out this package has been sitting in the local post office for a month without attempted delivery, so they just sent it back, and the online tracking is one day late.
The post office guy told me to put in a new missing mail search and hopefully, God willing, it will be in my hands by end of week.
They already sent it back out, I don't think the label was the issue because a package from the UK sat in that post office for months with a perfectly fine label.
No excuse, told me to put in an online missing mail search. Going to go down there again tomorrow.
Go to your local post office with the tracking number and ask them about it.
Update - tracking now shows it in a different distribution center. Local post office said they sent it all the way back to China.
Go to your local post office and ask, it may just be sitting around there. I had two packages that just sat at my local post office despite being marked as in a distribution center for months. One was sent back to China and I was able to get the other one.
sorry to hear that bro
It's going back to China way faster than it ever made it here in the first place. This is insane.

No these are my regular size, I measured. I actually have one in a smaller size and they fit fine as well.
The best chinos I ever had were the sanded duck canvas chinos from years back, but I outgrew them. The colors, fabric, cut - everything was perfect. If you made those again I would probably buy a pair in every color.
If you made those again I would definitely be the happiest guy ever. I had to give away the olive green ones because my waist is about 3 sizes larger now. I was so upset. 😭
I am only seeing the olive green one, are black and red gone?
Wanted to get the black\* donegal in small but missed it 😢
How limited are the numbers on these?
