Majority of the jobs are computer science and programming related, not IT focused. It seems that pretty much everyone has to have some software experience to land a position.

Even people not looking for development roles are being expected to have development experience and it's wild.

I don't think they can put any camera worth anything on this device.

Like everyone, some things he does are accepted and others are rejected. I prefer Hamza Tzortzis and Daniel Haqiqatjou.

I have lost count. Between apps, creating my own website/marketing it, handing out business cards, websites (Pure Matrimony), in person connections, contacting local masajid, Reddit r/muslimmarriage ISO thread, etc.

I would roughly estimate around 1,400 if we are counting each person. Got to engagement stage twice, and almost engaged a third time.

The amount of people I actually spoke to on a cursory basis was probably 300-400? The other 1,000 just were not interested after seeing my website or swiping on apps or getting matched by matchmakers. The amount of people I spoke to for a considerable length of time, more than a few days, maybe 10? The amount of people I spoke to for more than a few weeks probably 4.

Mid-20s, been looking for about 4 years now, decent attractiveness, decent job, own place, religious.

Take a look at this article: https://muslimskeptic.com/2022/11/02/a-brief-introduction-to-islam/

The ones that autorejected me were either totally disinterested or unattracted to me for whatever reasons. The ones that I spoke to cursorily, if I rejected them it was usually either due to my perception of their irreligiosity. If they rejected me then it was often unexplained or a couple of reasons: too religious, not the right ethnicity, wanting someone older, etc.

Out of the ones I spoke to for more than a few days the reason was almost always that I was "too religious" for them, said in different ways.

It's not a given and oftentimes sisters will feel like they aren't ready to make such a big life change at the last moment, especially if they are younger. 🤷

Consider marrying brothers that you wouldn't ordinarily consider, especially significantly younger or significantly older. I'm sure you can find a good partner inshaAllah.

I am sure you will find someone soon who will be the coolness of your eyes sister. Make du'a in the last part of the night and actively search. May Allah make it easy for you and grant you your righteous husband who makes you happy soon. Ameen.

These are WvG Lounge pants 2.0 from about 8 years ago.

Interested to hear people's thoughts

If you feel comfortable and confident in it then what does what anyone else think matter?

I've worn those pants with a button up in professional environments and no one ever said anything . If they did I wouldn't have cared. Life is far too short to devote attention to things like that.

This is in line with what my dealership said, pilens are just being retreaded from '22.

This guy also had a catchphrase like, "schookie schnow" or something like that. He also did some lip sync music videos if I recall correctly.

You do realize imam Malik spoke against the leader and was lashed for that? Abu Hanifa spoke against the leaders, was exiled, and then imprisoned in a well by the authorities until he died? Shafi'i was taken to the khalifah in chains? Imam Ahmad was tortured by the authorities?

'AbdAllah b. Zubayr b. 'Awwam was killed by the authorities for opposing the ruler? His mother Asma b. Abu Bakr? Hasan and Hussayn who rebelled? 'A'isha? 'Ali b. Abi Talib? Mu'awiyyah?

You realize ibn Taymiyyah was imprisoned 4 times for publicly denouncing the authorities and their views?

Ibn 'Abd al-Wah'hab takfir'd the authorities and fought them?

No one is obligated to prove anything to you, it's your obligation to go out and seek the truth. The only evidence you will accept is your own scholar's statements to prove a position, scholars that already have a pro-government position. Your interest is not Qur'an, Sunnah, or the Salaf - your interest is taqlid of some modern scholars because that's what you were brainwashed to believe IS Islam according to some Youtube videos.

Go ask Allah for hidayah sincerely instead of trying to figure it out because you definitely lack the tools to do so on your own.

و اذا خاطبهم الجاهلون قالوا سلاما

I advised you to ask Allah for hidayah but your kibr has blinded you and caused you to continue to rely on your own intellect to determine what the truth is. Nothing I can do to help until you make peace with the fact that Allah has a monopoly on guidance and your opinions mean nothing until you are humble enough to allow Allah to guide you.

You would ideally have a child or two that are more valuable than a resume or skillset.

It seems that you are suggesting the end comparison is financial success whereas I think the comparison should be life satisfaction. A woman with 20 years of work experience who has never had kids (18+20 = 38) is going to have a much harder time having them and with dropping fertility rates it's highly likely she won't be able to have children at all. Also, she will find it very difficult to get and remain married after not learning relationship skills throughout her 20s and 30s.

A woman who has no career or job skills would have a harder time getting a job if she needed to support herself, but her having kids is better and more conducive to life satisfaction than her having a job. The likelihood is that most women who have multiple kids end up having a kid who can help support their mother and the father is still incentivized to ensure the mother of his children is okay.

The question is whether marriage has a value which is more than a career and whether job experience is worth more than children. I don't think anyone with a sound fitrah would argue that a marriage and children are worth more than a career and job experience.

In the video they are suggesting that a woman having no claim to a household is truer if the household she is servicing is that of a business as opposed to a family. I think you are assuming working for 20 years will lead to a woman having property, and that's not really the case for most people, unless it's a high paying career (software, doctor, or lawyer - very small % of population). Most women that spend 20 years working and don't get married have nothing financially to show for it and will struggle to have kids. If a woman spends 20 years on a household, yes it will be harder to re-marry, but financially speaking her situation will likely be similar but at least she will have a family.

Divorcees can remarry and have successful second marriages whereas a woman who has never married in her 40s is unlikely to ever have a relationship.

Sister no one said that it's better for a woman not to have property or finances, that tweet set up a dynamic between being a housewife versus a career/education. It's better to be a propertied housewife than a non-propertied housewife. But if the choice is presented, as in the tweet, between spending 20-40 years in pursuit of a family or in pursuit of a career - there is an obvious choice.

Sister this is literally word-for-word out of feminist manifestos and a capitalistic way of thinking. The fact that you think working to perpetuate the cogs of the capitalist machine and doing Tawaf 8 hours a day around the idol of capital is a good thing is very concerning. Capitalist society is set up so you can worship the god of material wealth 40 hours a week to the detriment of your relationship with Allah, yourself, nature, and your family. I highly recommend you look into this because we have all been conditioned to buy into these tropes of personal property, material wealth, capital, finances - at the expense of things that truly matter.

I am a man and if I could find a way to escape this system I would, so it disheartens me so much to see sisters fighting so aggressively only to enslave themselves to what is, virtually, a false god.

The solution to the system is Islam. We should be advocating Islam. We should not be advocating further entrenching ourselves into this system. You know the system is bad and won't lead to success or happiness in this life or the next. I know that. We should be able to agree in trying to escape the system using Islamic measures, not getting more involved in it.

I feel like you ignored what I said and then just doubled back into the same justification for working. This is not the best route to happiness or satisfaction in this life or the next. Your Rizq is Written whether you work or not, you are choosing nothing more than a lifestyle - and this is definitely not an Islamic one.

My dear sister you are in need most of taking a class on Islamic creed rather than debating these issues. وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ ٢٢And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. \[Surah…

Please take a course on Islamic theology and reconnect with the Qur'an because it seems you are speaking and thinking from inside of a Hegelian secularist paradigm (socialism, capitalism) and not from an Islamic one. It takes time to unlearn these false and detrimental ideas, may Allah help you to find the Haqq.

I am asking you to learn Islamic creed because you have some misconceptions and you don't even realize what they are. I really ask you to heed this advice for your own benefit. You will be much happier and more successful in both abodes if you take the advice.

How can you bear to sell that black simone? I think it's the most beautiful sweater I have ever owned.

Mauro you run my favorite clothing brand and I have been a customer of yours since 2013, but the best thing to do is streamline this process. Having to check between newsletters, reddit, a discord, emails, and the website is a mess. It's stressful for you and your customers.

Maybe a better idea is to set-up pre-orders for items before they are fabricated. If you can have 1-2 samples made at the factory, people can set up pre-orders then, and you can gauge interest.

I am no expert in garment supply-chain but here are my two cents as a layman:

One of the problems I think is occurring is the ability to accurately gauge interest in particular pieces. Mauro produces some pieces which never sell out, end up going on sale, and that he oftentimes gifts to customers. Some pieces he makes are so popular they are literally sold out before the drop ever happens.

There has to be a better way to gauge interest and make sure that enough people who are willing to buy these pieces can.

I would suggest that Mauro openly offers pre-orders on items once he's able to get a few samples for rough pictures, describing the colors. A color swatch and a sample picture go up on the website. Have as many pre-orders as he wants, and then figure out how many of each item to make. If one item gets 30 pre-orders, he knows that he needs to order at least 40-60 of that item, and that almost all of them will be sold. If another gets 0, then he might even consider not making that item.

Mauro will often put up samples while he is still discussing with the factory. Why not gauge interest, allow some people to buy, and then ensure that those people that have paid early can get their piece - while still doing a drop later on? Pre-orders can be closed at a certain point, and that way there are enough garments for people that pre-order and people that want to buy on the night of the drop.
