Original discussion: famous books in qiraat and tajweed a chronology.

What I found was:

Dr. Hazim b. Sa'id Haydar al-Karmi,

"I believe that the poem of Imam Abu al-Khayr Muhammad b. Muhammad b. Muhammad Ibn al-Jazari (d. 833 AH), known as Al-Muqaddima al-Jazariyya, represents the central link in the corpus of this science's writings. This is particularly significant given that he composed it in the later years of his life, coinciding with his authorship of the two most important works he produced on the articulation of recitation letters: Al-Nashr fi al-Qiraʾat al-ʿAshr and its poetic counterpart, Tayyibat al-Nashr fi al-Qiraʾat al-ʿAshr. In the latter, he incorporated approximately thirty-four verses from Al-Muqaddima al-Jazariyya.

"The Muqaddima is not like his book 'Al-Tamhid fi Ilm al-Tajwid' which he authored in his youth and his age was 19. According to my research, ibn al-Jazari authored this one [Muqaddima] between two years (798AH - 800AH). This was during his travels from Byzantium (modern day Turkey) as his son Abu Bakr Ahmad was present during the ijazah of his father Abu al-Hassan Ali Basha during his final certification of the Muqaddima during the year of 800AH, just as is confirmed by the handwriting of ibn al-Jazari at the end of the manuscript I have before me.

"The Muqaddima al-Jazariyya is unlike his book Al-Tamhid fi ʿIlm al-Tajwid, which he authored in his youth at the age of 19.

Based on my research, it is most likely that Ibn al-Jazari (may Allah have mercy on him) composed Al-Muqaddima between the years 798 AH and 800 AH, during his journey to the lands of Rum (modern-day Turkey). This conclusion is supported by the fact that his son, Abu Bakr Ahmad, was present when his father granted ijazah to Abu al-Hasan ʿAli Basha upon the latter’s recitation of Al-Muqaddima in 800 AH. This is further confirmed by Ibn al-Jazari’s own handwriting at the end of a manuscript preserved in the [Laleli Library].

Additionally, his other son, Abu al-Khayr Muhammad, joined him in Turkey in the year 801 AH, where he memorized Al-Muqaddima al-Jazariyya. Had Ibn al-Jazari composed it earlier in either Sham (Greater Syria) or Egypt, his son would have likely memorized it before arriving in Turkey."

He was born 751AH.

1. Al-Tamhid (770AH, when he was 19)
2. Munjid al-Muqri'in (according to the book he finished it in 773AH, when he was 22)
3. Al-Nashr (798AH)
3. Tayyibat al-Nashr (being a partial versification of al-Nashr, 799AH)
4. Muqadimma al-Jazari (a Hafs focused introduction to Tayyibah, 800AH)

He died 833AH.

Hopefully someone knows more about this.
