I underestimated this exam. I got the CCP last month and have quite a few certs underneath my belt. My preparation was just to read the Sybex textbook, study it, and do the practice questions on it. No hands-on experience, no course, no practice tests.
I realized I had made a serious mistake on the first question.
That exam was extremely hard. Each question was a block of text I felt that I had to dissect and decipher. It was difficult trying to even understand what was being asked, let alone how it worked with everything else.
I am going to carefully investigate the suggestions mentioned in this subreddit, take a course, get some hands-on labs, and also do practice tests. I will review my notes and try again once I feel ready.
