Turned off Computer During System Restore, Have a Question About System Partition Recovery
GS65 Stealth Thin 8RF
A Windows update I installed last night made the RealTek speakers on my laptop unrecognizable. I tried multiple methods to get them to work to no avail. Eventually, I tried to system restore before the update, but it took an extremely long time. I decided to hard reboot, which was a bad idea. I believe I corrupted Windows.
So, I turned my hard-drive into a RAW file format, which as far as I can tell means that it is done. I tried using Windows recovery disk and a slew of other methods - to no avail. I was able to back-up my data on other drives that are on the same laptop. I have a few logical partitions on the drive, D, F, G, etc. If I used the system partition recovery through the Windows recovery environment, will I lose all of those logical drives?
It says, "Only Windows drive will be formatted. Other drives will not be affected. Windows drive will be restored to factory default settings."
Is it referring to the actual solid state drive or just the C: drive?
Thank you so much.
