We can discount the Pew study on double the women cohabitating entirely and still come to roughly the same conclusions based on how many people are meeting their partners online and what like/dislike ratios look like across genders online. My perspective on this topic is not singularly informed by that one study.

Regardless, it's common for studies like these to come to different conclusions. The right thing to do would be to provision more funding, sample more people, and get a better handle on what's going on. Unfortunately the US federal government doesn't seem keenly interested in that at the moment unlike other countries.

The Muslim sage Junayd al-Baghdadi said, "Men need sex like they need food."

Yes Islam teaches controlling sexual desires, not fornicating, having family units - but within the context of marriage it is very pro-sex. Men are required to do their best to satisfy their wives in bed. Without a legitimate excuse, it's considered sinful for either partner to deny the other intimacy if they desire it. Very few sexual acts are prohibited and those that are are prohibited due to potential harmfulness.

The Muslim community is uniquely impacted by the male loneliness epidemic because of the prohibition of pre-marital relationships and the conflation of Western standards of marriage and Islamic standards. So, as the broader societies' age of first marriage is delayed, the average semi-religious to religious man's first relationship is delayed to that point.

If millenials and gen x had their first relationship at 13 - 18 but gen z is delayed into their 20s, Muslims in the West are not tracking. They are tracking with marriage. So if the average age of first marriage is getting into the early 30s, that's their first romantic experience. I don't feel the need to describe why that makes them uniquely inadequately equipped to have healthy relationships.

(Note this isn't an Islam problem, as Islam recommends marriage at puberty and does not penalize divorce)

As for all of the other points I addressed them in previous comments and demonstrated how 1/3rd to 2/3rds of men are not as successful as OP misrepresents. And even if a minority of men are failing in all of these aspects, that minority is much larger than it has ever been.

We are already seeing fascism and right wing populism speaking to these disaffected men. What happens when that swathe bubbles to a critical mass? This is not just about feeling bad for people that have been historically extremely privileged, it's about the fabric of society.
