Original discussion: totally out of the loop why are these popular.

These are not orientalist terms. They're descriptions or translatarions of Arabic terms that are commonly used in these discussions.

>Your entire presentation falls short on every level, and you present yourself as though you are an independent authority rather than drawing from the scholars.

I presented every scholarly authority I benefitted from, from Tahawi to Shah WaliAllah to Umayri. If you want more in depth referencds for a specific point, you should just ask.

>You completely misunderstood shaykh ibn 'Abdul-Wahhab and other major scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah. The point was never that these categorizations are divinely revealed. That is precisely what makes your presentation deceptive and dangerous. You imply that certain matters are not shirk simply because the categories are not divinely revealed, yet you introduced a term never used by Ahlus-Sunnah scholars and built a new category around it, such as henotheism.

It's clear to me you have little grasp of this subject. I never suggested that ibn Taymiyyah or ibn Abd al-Wahhab thought categories of Tawhid were Revealed. The problem is basing your Aqidah on categories and then drawing qat'ī conclusions leads to errors.

I clarified that certain things are or are not shirk because they don't abide by the correct definition of ibadah. This prevents us from falling into silly situations where a person is saying, "O' honorable masih al-Dajjal! I devote myself to you. Please raise my parents from the dead" is not shirk but saying "O' shaykh give me a taco" to a wali who is alive but far away IS shirk (your position).

Henotheism is discussed by Sultan al-Umayri in his Ifada so it's a part of the Salafi discourse even though you may not be familiar with it.

>lack scholarly references for how you reached these conclusions. While you referenced some sources, your reasoning is not built upon the explanations of scholars, which led you to make confusing statements, such as those regarding imam Ahmad and his du'aa'. You also conflated multiple issues without distinguishing between Ash'ari and Ahlus-Sunnah conceptions. Although you attempted to frame your points as "academic arguments", you did not succeed in doing so.

Instead of behaving in such a belligerent manner you could have just asked if I have more sources or research. Yes I have an entire 200pg. manuscript you're free to look at to more carefully evaluate the arguments.

The rest of your comment hinges on not properly understanding the English language and turning choices of words in English into Aqidah issues somehow.
