Going to try hands-on and that combo. I think I have a solid foundation in the concepts, I just need more time to entrench it all.

This is what it is:
* Mentally ill
* Emotionally handicapped
* Sexually repressed or deviated
* Likely to be the last generation due to low replacement levels, dropping fertility rates, higher marriage ages, and many people who will never marry
Do you think a 30 year old man is not ready, or perhaps he is traumatized from being single till he's 30 and emotionally underdeveloped because of that?
I never suggested that it was an excuse, that's a strawman argument. I was dealing with the statement, "The guy seems like he's not ready." That is a problematic and erroneous statement to say the least.
This attitude of dismissing the real issue of the Muslim community creating these traumatized and emotionally handicapped brothers *is* the reason "A lot of people are in this boat." This is an incredibly corrosive and caustic attitude which I cannot believe Muslims take with their siblings in Iman.

I think many of you sisters have a fundamental issue which does not pertain to gender issues or marriage, but is actually one of Iman and i'tiqad. I don't think Reddit comments are the venue to correct these fundamental epistemological and creedal problems. What I can advise is that if there isn't a serious shift in the mentality that I am seeing here, then we will see humiliation (*khizyy)* in the dunya and punishment (*'adhab*) in the Akhirah.
This is not true? [https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.1000316#pmed.1000316-Spitz1](https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.1000316#pmed.1000316-Spitz1)…
This exact mentality is what creates so many of these brothers and it is most definitely your problem because if you are looking for a brother within that age group who is actually mentally/emotionally mature and also didn't have previous romantic relationships, it's going to be borderline impossible to find.
No point in waiting because you can make a mistake no matter how long you wait. Just get married and de-stigmatize divorce.
Just because you wait forever it doesn't mean you are increasing your chances to be eventually happy.
How long have you been searching for?
Generally speaking it can be a lot harder for a sister to find someone once she turns 25, as some Muslims have arbitrarily set that as a cut-off age for a woman. Brothers in your age group who are unmarried will be looking for sisters younger than 25 generally speaking. A lot of times there is incorrect messaging given to sisters as to what a brother is looking for in a wife, while the harsh reality is that beauty and age is what most brothers prioritize.
I'm sure you can find someone, but it might be harder to find someone within your immediate age-group than it would have been a few years ago. 27 is the prime age that it seems sisters are seeking for a brother, so brothers in that age bracket that are still unmarried are in high demand if they have their lives together.
Make du'a but also be very pragmatic about the search.
Unfortunately Muslims in the West do not take the proper precautions so that their marriages are adjudicated by the shari'ah and not by laws which don't make sense to our circumstances. Sometimes it is unavoidable but it can be particularly shameful if it is avoidable but the right steps weren't taken.
They have to follow the Shari'a to the best of their ability under all circumstances.
I am coming from the Islamic perspective that encourages early marriages, as per the Qur'an which prohibits fornication, the Sunnah and early generations. Upon what are you basing your understanding?
Sister, I think you misunderstand how brothers function. Almost no brothers are capable of waiting for decades without engaging in some kind of haram activity. It is possible for many sisters to do so, but the issue is that by waiting, as a woman, you instantly decrease your chances to find a suitable spouse. These are just the realities and facts on the ground.
What about the Islamic obligation to get married in the West? فرضية؟ What about becoming a *fasiq* by refusing to get married until unreasonable ages?
I'm not sure I am communicating clearly enough. You are not going to find a Muslim man in that age group who is: previously unmarried, did not do zinaa, and not seriously mentally bothered by it. Either you will: find a divorcee who is well…
1. I am shocked that you seem to genuinely believe that romantic relationships are not a core part of the human experience and vital for health.
2. I don't think you understand Islam very well. Sirat al-Mustaqim means the middle-most straight path, moderation. Being in line with nature, natural opposites, is a fundamental aspect of that. Also marriage is *fard* in the West according to many of the *fuqaha* familiar with the situation here.
3. Marriage is a solution to some mental health issues, not all. Those would be dealt with separately by a Hakim (qualified Islamic health counselor).
Are you a Muslim? Do you even believe in the Qur'an and its' prescriptions to societal or individual problems? You are not coming from an Islamic paradigm in any sense and it doesn't seem to me that you know anything about the Din. I don't think a hardline atheist feminist would be making the arguments you are making.
We have to make sure that we balance between trusting in Allah's Qadr, knowing that our Rizq is Written, and not blaming Allah for our bad decisions. Allah clearly ordered Muslims to get married in the Qur'an and on the tongue of His Prophet - but we Muslims, en masse, are voluntarily choosing not to. Continuously rejecting potentials for twenty years then not being able to get married is not because Allah "decreed" this impossible situation for us - we cause that by our own hands and Allah gives us the means by which to either obey or disobey.
I don't agree with this, that's a fatalistic (*Jabiri*) view of Islamic theology. If we don't actually have a choice in who we are marrying and rejecting people is just going in line with "destiny", then we could just sit at home and wait for our spouse to drop from the sky. Allah's Qadr (perfect proportioning of everything) is not jabr (compulsion).
If we reject a potential, we made that choice. Allah knew we would make it, allowed us to make it, but He did not force us to make it.

What is the difficulty jump between the RHCSA and the CompTIA Linux+? I was able to pass the Linux+ with about 5 days of dedicated study, how hard is the RHCSA in comparison?
Wow that's quite the difficulty leap to say the least!
